DOES IT MEAN THAT I’M WEAK AND NOT INDEPENDENT IF I NEED/WANT COUNSELING.
We know that you want your independence and yet sometimes want support. Human beings are wired to connect with others. You are no different. There is no weakness about wanting to connect and share difficulties. This past year in particular due to social distancing due to to Covid, many people have felt more alone and lonely that at any other time. Connecting with a counselor or therapist shows strength, not weakness. Strength to get your needs met.
With over 30 years of experience working with young adults, we provide an experience that is comfortable, safe, and nurturing. We want you to feel welcome and comfortable talking about your concerns, knowing that your conversations are confidential (unless you tell us that you are hurting someone vulnerable, or yourself).
We want you to be sure about your decision to seek out therapy with us so much that we offer and FREE 30 minutes getting acquainted session. If after 30 minutes, you feel that we’re not a good fit for you, we can part ways- no questions asked. But if you decide to continue to work together to create change, we will talk about putting you on the schedule.
